The Importance of Innovation

The article is focused basically on what must teachers feel at some moment in their lives. And that is concern, concern about, giving English classes on a way that our students desire to leave them, because they get bored.
But the article mentions that instead of being worry for that situation, teachers should look for new strategies and try new alternatives and that we as teachers must change our minds in a different way.
Personally I agree with a statement that says: “teachers must analyze the contents and how these contents could be taught”, and this is interesting because if you realize this is something that, not all teachers ask themselves, because it is easier to work with a book, that gives you all the activities you need in a normal class than to look for another exercise to work with the students in interactive way, on the internet for example.
The article mentions for instance an internet course which has given excellent results and, also there is a soap opera on which students have to work out and do different activities so that they are able to show their understanding in interactive form at the end of it.
The issue is that not all teachers understand that there are as many methods as you can think of, so they tend to do the same every year, we just have to research and take risks on our lessons and probably we will get surprised of the results we achieve.
